Made a really huge mistake today. Was rushing to get somewhere when I was backing out of my parking spot and hit a parked work truck! No one was inside of it, absolutely no one was around, and it was in an apartment complex that doesn’t have cameras. You can not tell that the truck is damaged AT ALL. No paint scratches, no dents, nothing. However, my tail light went against his hitch and is completely cracked/shattered, and part of my bumper is knocked out of place (but not dented). You can see some of his paint on my car. I panicked and drove away because I was really scared and didn’t know what to do. I was going to come back and leave a note on his windshield and then I realized that you can’t even see the damage. Since hubby is in exceptional health and hasnt had any medical problems (knock on wood!) he continues without health insurance; I remain on my parents plan as I’m 25 (aka under 26yrs old), and we pay for child health plus for my daughter, for a small fee a month, which depends on our income We simply couldn’t afford to pay $800 a month for family coverage, so doing it this way saves us, like $600+! So since we don’t make enough to pay for hubbys $800 family plan through work, is obamacare basically going to force hubby to get health insurance through his work, even though it’s complete garbage? I think I messed up with our home owners insurance?
Our dog got out of the yard and bit the mail person. I don’t know how bad it was. That’s for the doctors. But we did sit her down and she felt the need to call 911 and go to the hospital by ambulance. Our dog didn’t attack or anything. He just bit her on her leg. So right after that I’m thinking law suit. So I call our insurance company with some questions. Now today they want us to come in and sign some papers. But nothing has happened yet. We aren’t being sued. We haven’t filed a claim with them. So why are our insurance people all over us. I would think that it would be the other way around. Should I lease a new car as a college student with no income?
I’m 19, no income, a year into college and I really want a better car. I drive a crashed 1992 Camry with no AC 40 minutes a day to school in hot Arizona weather.
